The 2017 Golden Globe Awards took place this morning Singapore time, and while there were a flurry of pre-awards beauty snaps popping up all over our Instagram feeds, it was La La Land actress Emma Stone whose photo made us do a double take – and double tap at the same time.

Posted by Stone’s makeup artist, the Instagram snap featured the actress with a gooey-looking lip mask glued over her mouth. Further investigation revealed that she was using a lip mask from American beauty brand KNC Beauty.

These lip masks first made an appearance on social media feeds last August thanks to the likes of Kim Kardashian and American It girl Caroline Vreeland. Founded last year by Kristen Noel Crawley, who co-owns Chicago art gallery RSVP with Off-White’s Virgil Abloh and is purportedly a long-time Kanye collaborator according to a Complex.com article, the brand’s debut product is an all-natural, collagen-infused lip mask that contains a moisturising blend of rose flower oil, cherry extract and vitamin E. Collagen, meanwhile, aids in plumping up your puckers.

The end result, claims the brand, are lips that are smoother and more hydrated, which makes for easy lipstick application. All you need to do: Stick it onto lips after cleansing, leave it on for 20 minutes and peel it off thereafter. This doesn’t mean you should forgo using lipcare or lip balm products, though; rather, use this twice or thrice a week to ensure your lips stay healthy-looking.

While there are no local stockists at the moment, the lip masks are available off the brand’s website at US$24.99 (S$36) for a pack of five masks and US$39.99 (S$58) for a pack of 10.
