Fresh from his win at the BAFTAs (he won the Best Supporting Actor award for Lion but lost out at the subsequent Oscars to Moonlight‘s Mahershala Ali), Brit actor Dev Patel was spotted recently at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas.
While he was there to debut five new short films made by young filmmakers around the world and mentored by him (Luxembourg, China, the Czech Republic, the United States, and Israel), Patel captured our attention with his effortless outfit of a dusty pink double-breasted blazer worn over dove gray T-shirt, pants and loafers.
Who designed his outfit, you ask? It’s none other than Italian stalwart Armani – the house is responsible for supporting the young filmmakers through their Films of City Frames initiative. While we’ve documented celebrities’ recent craze for pink, all of them have been women thus far.
That’s not to say male celebrities don’t wear pink – they do but hardly as well executed as Patel’s pastel-hued version. Dusty pink on dove gray? We are totally on board and putting Patel on our watch list.
