What do you get when local It girl/Female Collective member Charmaine Seah-Ong teams up with Inventory, a young local up-and-coming label known for its streamlined tailoring? A versatile shirt-dress that has just the right amounts of stand-out details while remaining decidedly unfussy for daily wear, that’s what.

Part of Inventory’s Bespoke Shirt Project, the brand has been collaborating with some of Singapore’s coolest creatives in an aim to reinterpret that most basic but essential of work wardrobes – the classic shirt.

Dubbed “Charmaine”, the shirt-dress features trailing buckled straps along its sleeves, which make for a great eye-catching detail. The unique placket (the strip where the buttons of a shirt are located) curves sideways and ends around the waist area, effectively making the shirt-dress more of a tunic, really.

You can always pair it with edgier accessories as Charmaine has displayed here. Versatile much?

Available in an extremely limited batch of only 10 pieces, the shirt-dress will launch on Thursday, December 1 on Inventory’s signature made-to-measure service – which means every piece will be exclusively customised to each customer. It’ll be retailing for $280, and you can start placing pre-orders here.
