Gucci had one of Fall Winter 2022 show season’s big collaboration coups: an extensive tie-up with sportswear giant Adidas. The luxury brand’s creative director Alessandro Michele smartly roped in the athletic brand to give his tailoring a hybrid twist. Think double-breasted suits turned sporty, and a general blurring of the lines of formal and casual.
But the launch of that runway Exquisite Gucci collection is a few months away. What’s closer on the horizon is a first drop of Adidas and Gucci pieces: a retro-tinged range of ready-to-wear, bags, shoes and accessories. Think tennis-inspired polo shirt styles, sweater vests, tracksuits, shorts, and sporty jackets.

Sporty chic – with a touch of retro style – is the name of the game for Adidas and Gucci’s collaboration.
A witty crossing of both brands’ logos and visual identities underpins the collection. The sides of track pants, for example, feature Adidas’ three stripes on one side and Gucci’s red and green web on the other. There’s also combinations of the Adidas Originals trefoil logo with Gucci’s own: on repeating GG monogram patterns; a bold combo with an upside down Gucci logotype; and the trefoil with a GG below it.
It’s a tantalising and quite extensive teaser of more Adidas and Gucci to come. Below, a look at some of the pieces to expect when the collection launches on June 7 exclusively at a pop-up store at Design Orchard and last until June 27.
