As part of their Larger Than Life tour, the iconic American boy band will be making their way to our sunny shores come 21 October for the pop group’s only show in Asia. If you’re one of the lucky few who managed to score tickets for the concert (which sold out in two hours, by the way), check out these timeless hits – and memorise the lyrics – for an unforgettable night of 90’s nostalgia:

#1: Quit Playing Games (with My Heart)

Arguably the most successful single from the band’s debut album in 1996, this became the choice summer song in the US the following year. The music video was a hit too, given the many scenes with the boys dancing and singing half-naked in the rain.

#2: Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)

No one can forget this classic – it still retains its timeless party anthem status despite premiering 20 years ago from the group’s second album. Accompanying the song is also the Joseph Kahn-directed, Thriller-inspired music video which might just be as iconic as the song itself.

#3: As Long As You Love Me

Another one of the band’s signature hits, the single peaked on several charts around the world, and scooped up the award for Select Video at the 1997 MTV Europe Music Awards. Fun fact: Brian married one of the models featured in the music video just three years later in 2000.

#4: I Want It That Way

This song needs no introduction – with 345 million hits on YouTube, this single from the band’s third album remains their most successful and memorable song to date. The smash hit was nominated for several awards as well, including three Grammys.

#5: Shape Of My Heart

The lead single from the band’s fourth album, this pop ballad makes one wonder why love songs nowadays can’t sound like this. The boys’ vocal prowesses were also on show here, with the track earning a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals in 2002.
