I love being in New York. I wanted the energy of the city to show through in this new collection; I love the colours, like the navy and sunset orange in the new Eye Matte Duo in Saphir/ Orange Vif. It may be makeup, but it’s heavily influenced by fashion.

I think you can get inspired anywhere. I enjoy looking at beauty products, whether it’s in a very expensive store or in a chemist. Later today, I’m going in search of the perfect eye drops. I heard the Asian brands are fantastic!

On the plane, I think it’s important to keep your skin clean and hydrated and get as much as sleep as you can. Use that time to rest, and be kind to yourself.

If I had to pick just one beauty item to take with me on my travels, it would be the Morning Aura Illuminating Creme (the bestseller from her first collaboration with the American beauty giant). When I get off a plane, I want to put something on my skin that’s moisturising, something that tightens and lifts as well as gives me a natural- and healthy-looking glow.

I love the energy of Miami. It’s what inspired the new Miami look (above) in my latest makeup collection – its retro architecture and bright colours, like the Art-Deco blue in the new Eye Matte Duo in Bleu Electrique/Nude.

I always like to travel with a lot of silk crepe shirts – they don’t crease at all and you can dress them up with heels, or wear them with flats – a really good tuxedo jacket and a pair of cigarette pants. I always take a pair of trainers too, because I try to work out wherever I go.

It’s great to meet people from a city and find out what we should see or where to go, whether it’s restaurants, art galleries or vintage shops. We went to Jean-Georges in Shanghai – it’s a beautiful restaurant.

My family and I spend a lot of time in LA because we have a home there. We like to pick different places to explore; we’ve been to Greece, we’ve been skiing. We really want to go to South America – that’s on the bucket list.
