It may be the Year of the Metal Ox, but the spotlight is on a certain pancake-loving robot cat called Doraemon at Gucci. To mark the Lunar New Year, the Italian house has turned the well-loved character from Fujiko Fujio’s manga as the main protagonist of its festive capsule line for women and men.
The Italian label first gave a sneak peek of the collaboration during the presentation of its Epilogue collection in Campo Boario in Rome.
The bumper collection comprises over 50 merchandise and will drop at all of the brand’s stores on January 29 with selected items available at Dover Street Market Singapore as well. Additionally, the Gucci flagship in Paragon will house a special pop-up room devoted to the collaboration, while statues of Doraemon will dot various spots inside and outside the mall.
