If you’re looking for something red to wear (or cop) this weekend, this might be it. Japanese streetwear label FR2 teams up with multi-label store Surrender for yet another collab. The ‘MERBBIT’ T-shirt, which drops on August 9 exclusively at Surrender, is exactly what its name suggests.
The tongue-in-cheek label’s playful take on the rabbit (the label’s mascot) and the Merlion is the mainstay of the collection and certainly an aspect animation lovers will appreciate. That’s not all that’s patriotic about it though. Bringing together elements from both Singapore’s and Japan’s flags, the T-Shirts feature vibrant reds, hints of white as well as a symbolic circle that encloses FR2’s bold graphics. If you’re in the market for something a little simpler, the collection also features two minimal versions of the T-Shirts in both red and black.
For those who missed out on FR2’s first collaboration – also inspired by Singapore – with Surrender back in October, select pieces are still available online to shop. While this drop only features T-shirts, FR2’s fall winter 2018 collection features hoodies and lifestyle products as well.
